APPLYING FAITH-BASED RESOURCES IN A WEED AND SEED COMMUNITY

Dayton Northwest Weed & Seed has designed its strategy from the start to take advantage of the leveraging power of faith-based resources in our community.

We believe that an efficient use of faith-based resources as a part of our strategy will help us make a real difference – one that will last a lifetime. We approach youth and their families as mentors and as guides – adults who can be trusted to listen and help them make the correct decisions in their daily lives. We know what works in the Dayton community, and we have integrated proven “best practices” into our strategy.

Our approach has worked so well that our Site Coordinator has been asked repeatedly to share successful faith-based strategies with other Weed and Seed communities at National and Regional Conferences.
